In a brand new Jumanji adventure, four high school kids discover an old video game console and are drawn into the game's jungle setting, literally becoming the adult avatars they chose. What they discover is that you don't just play Jumanji – you must survive it. To beat the game and return to the real world, they'll have to go on the most dangerous adventure of their lives, discover what Alan Parrish left 20 years ago, and change the way they think about themselves – or they'll be stuck in the game forever.

    1. Yeah because when a studio is rich enough to afford 2 of Hollywood’s plethora of famous actors, they’re throwing their money away. This looks pretty decent from just the trailer.

    2. N.H.Nisansa de Silva Dude… he is clearly writing about the short time it took to produce it, after the announcement.

    3. shaka1987 The movie was originally announced in 2012. Now it is 2017. Is 5 years of production time not enough for you people? I think you are only counting from 2015 when the studio capitalized on Robin Williams’ passing and “announced” this again.

  1. The Rock… you promised this would be made right… and it’s not made right. Then again, I can’t say I’m surprised after initially hearing Kevin “Not Funny” Hart was cast. The first film had emotion and character development. This is nothing but one-liners from Kevin Hart and comedic set pieces. It lack mystery, horror, sense of danger, and everything else that the Jumanji board game possessed.
It will suck; don’t watch it.

    1. You can’t expect a good movie when Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is featured in…

    2. “The first film had emotion and character development. This is nothing but one-liners from Kevin Hart and comedic set pieces. It lack mystery, horror, sense of danger, and everything else that the Jumanji board game possessed.”

Did you really make that assessment after watching a two and a half minute trailer??

    3. rachel00angel: “Did you really make that assessment after watching a two and a half minute trailer??”

      Answer: Yes.

Supporting Evidence: Kevin Hart, Jack Black, One-liners, ridiculous action scenes, a video game console, Guns ‘N Roses song & a hippopotamus swallows Jack Black.

  2. From IMDB:
“In August 2016, Dwayne Johnson confirmed that the film will not be a reboot or a remake, but a sequel to the original film and a tribute to Robin Williams.”

I’m definitely going to watch it! The movie look really good, comparing it to other movies from the last two years…

    1. the first part of the sentence, fine. but how in any way is this a tribute to robin williams?

    2. Spaustin First of all, you haven’t seen the movie yet so there may be a quite literal tribute to Robin in the film. Secondly, as I said somewhere else in the comments, Robin Williams valued putting smiles on people’s faces and letting laughter fill the room so I think this is movie is going in the right direction.

    1. KiraLikesAcorns really because I’m pretty sure they’re in the game Jumanji which is the game they played in the original

  3. Would you prefer to play the board game or the video game version of Jumanji?

    1. spy kids sequel already done this along with tron. there’s not clever nor unique about this movie.

    1. Agreed! People are just pissed because they can’t let go. Like I can’t either. I prefer the original film but people need to suck it up.

    2. How bout, won’t see it at all and still crap on the “video game concept.” Jokes make be cool in the film, but the whole thing sounds like Hollywood have done f’ed up again.

    3. ya same ~ i love the original and when watching it i didn’t compare it because this is obviously a modern version so people need to suck it up 😂 but oh well everyone has their opinions ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  4. I don’t know why y’all are complaining because you literally just watched two minutes of a TRAILER. so you can’t just make your assumptions on a movie you haven’t even seen,so give it a chance it could be good.

    1. Yeah it’s a two minute trailer. It is their job to use those two minutes to sell people on the movie, and if they can’t do that then there might be a problem. I agree that people are over critical, but a trailer is meant to be a big factor of whether people chose to see a movie or not.
If I watched every movie to give it a chance, I would have to watch every movie.

    2. Garrett guy I think someone said this exact same thing when Ghosbusters remake trailer hit…

    3. For Me. Saw the original in the cinema. Genuinely excited for this especially with the rock. But they messed up with the dumb computer game thing and the teens changing in to characters. Just dumb.

    4. To be fair Garret, movies have become a bit stale, too focused on SFX, less on the script. A trailer is meant to be the selling point between you and the ticket. Some will like this and some will not, it’s just a movie, no need to start fights over it, theirs enough fighting in the world as it is.

  5. So breakfast club finds a video game that takes them to skull island. Wait is that Jack Black? He is still there on Skull island. Wait is that the Rock? Maybe they are at the center of the earth instead? Oh wait!!! There is Kevin Hart, so this is a comedy then? Idek what this movie wants itself to be. Good thing i’m not watching it since I called that this movie would be a terrible comedy/action movie that craps on the first one. Basically taking a good movie and making it into a quick cash grab for kids who have never seen the first one. Watch the first one instead of seeing this. Its better, trust me.

    1. I know that much but still, it looks like a very poorly done sequel. Should not have gone the comedic route. Looks like another flop for Dwayne.

    2. did all the man eating plants, zebra bugs , flesh eating insects, white hunters and other monsters just go extinct ? hell why are there motorbikes in jumanji?

  6. thank god Robin Williams is already dead or he will die after seeing this

    1. CosmicTwitch no more ideas cgi and greediness lead to no more decent writing or acting it’s all about the money now

  7. Lmao, to those wondering why we’re pissed at this trailer, watch the original Jumanji with Robin Williams and realize how watered down and generic this trash is. This is just another typical action movie with a stroke of fat humor added. I’m done with Hollywood making these remakes for less appreciative and degenerate viewers. #90skidswouldknow

    1. It’s irritating seeing these little kids questioning why there’s so much hate for this remake, when most of them probably have no idea who Robin Williams is, let alone the original film.
